Women and their hair can easily be compared to men and their cars!
Having spent a week on holiday with 2 other young ladies I have realized that hair is quite an issue for us women. I'm happy to report that I am really not the only crazy person that thinks hair and the maintenance thereof is really alot of effort and is certainly not as simple as brushing your teeth or putting on a face mask. No there is A LOT more to it.
No doubt there's always a bunch of women discussing the need for a new hair cut/style, covering the grey, dirty hair and "the need to wash hair tonight when i get home from work", hairloss, new hairstyles, the best shampoos, treatments/products, hairsalons, hairstylists, what an effort it is to blow-dry hair, to style hair to achieve desired results and the latest electric hair gadgets like the fastest and most powerful hairdryers, flat irons and all it's features...and the list goes on. Now can you understand what I mean when I say "Women and their hair can easily be compared to men and their cars". Men are usually the one's going on about new car stuff, new models to be released, mechanics etc etc
I honestly don't think many guys can fully comprehend the complexity of hair and how unsightly a bad hair-day make some women feel. I really don't mind washing my hair, I just hate drying my hair, I hate styling my hair and I hate going to hairsalons BUT I also hate the way dirty, unstyled hair makes me feel as a person. Dirty hair makes me feel just that: DIRTY and greasy!
So what's a girl to do when she does not feel like washing hair because of the effort that follows the washing i.e. the drying, styling and so forth. OMW, just by saying that I thought of laundry and ironing...doing your hair almost sucks as bad as doing the washing LOL.
I don't even want to start on when we are faced with a sudden and unforeseen need to go out when you haven't bothered washing hair! 911 we have an emergency! Dirty hair and not enough time to style...what to do...(a) try and do something with the dirty hair or (b) rush to wash, dry and style?!?!?! Then don't we all have days when you just too tired to stand in front of the mirror styling your hair after a long, lousy day at the office, traffic from hell, cooking dinner and all the other menial tasks us women have so I did some research and found Hairstyles and Techniques to make dirty hair look clean.
- Braided Hairstyles Work Best on Greasy Hair
I have tried this one on 1 of my "off-days". It also looks cute with a hat :)
- Disguise Greasy Hair by Boar Bristle Brushing
Okay, I don't really know what a "Boar Bristle Brush" is. I used Google Images to find some samples though... SEE HERE
- Bandanas, Headbands and Hats
Greasy bangs can often be pulled back and hidden under this kind of headband as well. If it’s appropriate for the situation, wearing a bandana or hat is of course the easiest way to disguise greasy hair.
I LOVE HATS!!! This one works very well for me. I especially love hats from Woolworths. The benefits of hats are endless. In Summer it helps shade you from the sun (and of course hide bad hair) and in Winter it keeps your head warm (and of course hide bad hair).
- Using Talcum Powder to Cut Greasiness
- Quick-Washing Bangs
Don't have bangs (fringe) anymore but I remember doing this back in highschool.
- Wetting Hairto Disguise Grease
- Using Dry Shampoo and Hair Powder
So to all women out there always fretting over your hair, don't worry you are not alone we all have bad hair days and we all hope someone won't notice our greasy hair lol ....
Gray hair is a blessing
