strike
Verb
[striking, struck]
- (of employees) to stop work collectively as a protest against working conditions, low pay, etc.
No where does it mention NUDITY or THEFT!
I cannot, no matter how much I try; I simply cannot understand the need for such ugliness. What is wrong with today’s society? Do we no longer respect ourselves, others, other people’s property? Just because a group of you are doing it doesn’t make it acceptable.
It really disheartens me! :-(
I received 2 revolting emails in one week; all this in a city that I live in and that I love.
How can I share my feelings without possibly seeming racially prejudiced? Because it really is quite clear NOT EVERYONE in SA strikes. It really is a distinct group that carries on like this. WHY? WHY? WHY?
Everyone has a right to express objection and I am not against protest but becoming a hooligan and getting away with it is just too much for my naive little mind to bear.
Richard Nixon said: “We cannot learn from one another until we stop shouting at one another - until we speak quietly enough so that our words can be heard as well as our voices.”
In the words of MJ….HEAL THE WORLD ~ MAKE IT A BETTER PLACE….FOR YOU AND FOR ME AND THE ENTIRE HUMAN RACE….

I don't know what your pictures are of.
I think strikes are equivalent to kids tantrums and blackmail. A mix of mob action instigated by ignorance/stupidity coupled with frustration and hopelessness.
In a recent You (and I do not read that btw) I read that unemployed group of people ransaked a Pnp - started stuffing their mouths with food. Gov wasn't responding to them so they pulled this stunt.
Those pix (the nudies) are of a municipal strike if I remember correctly and the other (the thieves) are Cape Tech students :(
Yes, I heard that 1 too. I don't know why PnP needed to bear the brunt.
Senseless!!!
