Little BOYS are made of sugar & spice!

"You have brown eyes"….I look at the little person and I'm stunned at his statement. He noticed MY eyes! I feel honoured and touched that he looked at me, noticed my eye colour which seems so inconsequential and out of nowhere says "You have brown eyes".

Standing alone, looking out at the view, drinking my coffee this little boy came over and stood by me. He asked what I was drinking. I said coffee; he asked if he could have a sip. I wasn't sure if he could drink coffee he is after all only 3 or 4 years old but his mom wasn't nearby to approve. I thought for a minute and looked at his endearing face and said "yeah okay, just a little sip". I didn't think a sip would do much harm as it was instant coffee. There's probably more caffeine in paediatric cough syrup anyway. He took my hand and pulled me to walk with him.

For a good part of my visit at his parents' house, he kept me company. We played with a tennis ball, he asked me to pick him up which I found unusual as he could walk it's his house and he knows the way around, and he came to sit on my lap and asked about my earrings! What a charming little boy. He doesn't even know me that well, seldom sees me yet he welcomed me and made me feel so comfortable like he was pleased to have me there and wanted to hang out with me.

WOW, I was amazed. I think I'm starting to really adore little boys. There's a nursery rhyme that says that little girls are made of Sugar and spice And all that's nice but I think the very same can be said about little boys. I always wanted to only have girl children. I imagined boys to be rough, mischievous and always wanting to explore the great outdoors and bringing dirty little bugs, worms and creepy stuff inside the home. I imagined little girls to be sweet, timid princesses smelling of roses and being as gentle as lambs. This is only in fairy-tales! I think if I should have more kids I would definitely like to have a son :)

No one knows how it is that with one glance a boy can break through into a girl's heart.
