stuck-up
adj
Informal conceited, arrogant, or snobbish
How many of us have been unfairly pigeon-holed as being “stuck-up”. This was said to me recently:
“I always pictured you to be this stuck up chick”
You'll be surprised to find that I am actually nothing like that. I’m shy, introverted and reserved but my demeanour is nearly always misconstrued as being "stuck-up”. What does it mean to be a stuck-up, snob? Is it material things - cars, fashion and labels in general. It is wealth or a wealthy family name. Is it how you carry yourself, your walk, your look – imagine a person walking with their nose up in the air. Is it your intellect, being a smart-ass and thinking everyone else is dumb? It’s probably all of these things but how can a non-snob come across as the person she really is inside.
How can you make sure you come across as a classy lady rather than a snobby lady?
To be a classy lady you should aim to be stylish and elegant, respectable, respectful and lovely.
A snob is someone who believes that some people are inherently inferior to him or her for any one of a variety of reasons, including real or supposed intellect, wealth, education, ancestry, taste, beauty, nationality, et cetera. Taken from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snob
Being classy is a culmination of being yourself,
being positive, and doing good in all the places you can by all the means you can.
Clothes, hair, music, film....none of these things a classy person make.
